In 1935, Jesus said to Saint Faustina, “You will prepare the world for My final coming.”(Diary 429) Jesus also said to her,
“In the Old Covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to my people. Today I am sending you with my mercy to the people of the whole world.” (1588). “Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognise My unfathomable mercy.
It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice.“ (848)
THE IMAGE OF DIVINE MERCY
“Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the signature; Jesus I Trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel and then throughout the world.” (47)
“I promise that the soul that will venerate يوقر this image will not perish يموت. I also promise victory over [its] enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I Myself will defend it as My own glory.” ( 48)
“The PALE RAY stands for the WATER which makes souls righteous. The RED RAY stands for the BLOOD which is the life of souls . . Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter.” (299)
The sacraments of Baptism and Reconciliation purify the soul. The sacrament of the Holy Eucharist is the life of the soul. SOURCES OF JESUS’ LOVE AND MERCY.
These two rays issued forth from the very depths of My tender mercy when My agonised Heart was opened by a lance on the Cross.
These rays shield souls from the wrath of My Father. Happy is the one who will dwell in their shelter, for the just hand of God shall not lay hold of him. I desire that the first Sunday after Easter be the Feast of Mercy.
I am offering people a vessel” with which they are to keep coming for graces to THE FOUNTAIN OF MERCY. That vessel is this image with the signature: ‘Jesus, I trust in You.’ (327)
(303) Great love can change small things into great ones, and it is only love which lends value to our actions. And the purer our love becomes, the less there will be within us for the flames of suffering to feed upon, and the suffering will cease to be a suffering for us; it will become a delight! By the grace of God, I have received such a disposition of heart that I am never so happy as when I suffer for Jesus, whom I love with every beat of my heart. Once, when I was suffering greatly, I left my work and escaped to Jesus and asked Him to give me His strength.
Why THIS devotion wasn’t accepted by the Catholic church?
This devotion wasn’t received right away by the Catholic Church rather was placed on the index of the forbidden books. THE CHURCH felt that the promises in this private revelation to sister Faustian, ACCEDED THE Ex opere operato GRACES OF THE 7 SACRAMENTS; so they were seen dangerous and heretical therefore were banned.
Ex opere operato is a Latin expression meaning “by the work worked.” It refers to the fact that the sacraments confer grace when the sign is validly effected — not as the result of activity on the part of the recipient but by the power and promise of God. But a young archbishop KAROL JÓZEF WOJTYŁA, Pope John Paul II in 1965… he wanted to reopen the case. DIVINE MERCY DEVOTION WAS A POPULAR Polish tradition Theologians say that was the reason the Holy Spirit chose this great Pope of the 80s and 90s because this task needed to be accomplish. In1978 the church rescinded AND DECREED THAT SISTER FAUSTINA’S WARK IS NO LONGER UNDER A BANNED.
IN the Jubilee 2000 he changed the name of the 2nd Sunday of Easter into DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY OR THE FEAST OF DIVINE MERCY (699) at the same Mass he canonised St. Faustina Kowalska, Pope John Paul II proclaimed to the world that “from now on throughout the Church” this Sunday will be called “Divine Mercy Sunday.” Our Lord insisted that it be celebrated on a specific day.
About Mercy Sunday.
“And who knows anything about this feast? No one! Even those who should be proclaiming My mercy and teaching people about it often do not know about it themselves. That is why I want the image to be solemnly blessed on the FIRST SUNDAY AFTER EASTER, and I want it to be venerated PUBLICLY so that EVERY SOUL MAY KNOW ABOUT IT.” (Diary 341) I am giving them the last hope of salvation; that is, the Feast of My Mercy.” (Diary 965)
Saint Faustina’s Diary (Divine Mercy in My Soul), contains at least 14 passages in which Our Lord is quoted as requesting that a “Feast of Mercy” be officially established
Plenary indulgence was granted which means that by the merits of Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary and all the saints, the full remission of the TEMPORAL PUNISHMENT due to sacramentally forgiven sins is obtained. The person becomes as if just baptised and would fly immediately to heaven if he died in that instant.
